Tax Preparation Referral Bonus Terms & Conditions

Eligibility

To be eligible for the tax preparation referral bonus the referrer must:

  1. Be an active client, with an active account number.
  2. Must have had their current year tax return prepared by us or have an appointment for their return to be prepared by us.
  3. Must have completed an IRS W-9 form.

Bonus Amount

The bonus amount to be paid out is $25 per referred client. There is no maximum amount to be paid to the referring client.


Payment

Payment of the referral bonus will be made based on the following criteria:

  1. Prepared Return. If the referring client has successfully completed and had their tax return transmitted and accepted by the IRS, payment of the referral bonus will be made 45 calendar days after the successful completion, transmission and acceptance of the referral’s tax return to the IRS.
  2. Unprepared Return. If the referring client has an appointment and has not had their tax return prepared by one of our Tax Professionals, referral bonuses will be paid out 45 calendar days after the successful completion, transmission and acceptance of the client’s tax return, and/or the successful completion, transmission and acceptance of the referral’s tax return to the IRS.

 

Payout Method

Payment will be made to the client for the referral bonus based on the current payout method in the client’s portal. If no payout method is available, a check will be mailed to the client at the address in the client’s portal. Payments may also be made via cashapp, or venmo. 

 

Tax Referral Payout Procedure

Once the referral’s tax return is successfully transmitted and accepted by the IRS, the Tax Professional will create a Credit Note in the client’s billing profile for 45 calendar days in the future.

 

Disqualification

We reserve the right to suspend a client’s ability to participate in the Tax Preparation Referral Bonus program if:

  1. We suspect fraud.
  2. We suspect abuse of the program. (includes mass sharing)
  3. The referring client does not have their current year tax return prepared by us.
